What a Spoonful of Sugar can do!

A Spoonful of Sugar can really make a change. See how avatars from a virtual world cross the digital borders and support a real life charity

What started as an idea by Ever Courtoise and Angelique Wickentower quickly sparked and lit a little fire around the Second Life® Grid.

Ever's awareness of Doctors Without Borders, paired with Angelique's impression for MSF(Medecins Sans Frontiers) fused into a successful series of fundraising events in the Virtual World of Second Life®.

Medecins Sans Frontiers/ Doctors Without Borders(MSF) is an international, independent, medical humanitarian organization that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare. MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation.

MSF helping people where needed

MSF offers assistance to people based on need, irrespective of race, religion, gender or political affiliation. You can find out a lot more about them on the SOS MSF INFO page and the MSF website. Ever's and Angelique's passion for MSF quickly let the event turn into a little movement and the team around it grew with the following members:

Together they build and organize an amazing and vibrant multi region festival with lot of attractions like dances, live performances and other activities for everyone's taste. With the support of around 200 content creators offering their finest creations for a good cause during the annual 2 week festival ranging from fashion to home and garden and breedables, the Spoonful of Sugar activities help to improve life's where it is most needed.

But SOS also is capable to raise some adhoc events when help involving the MSF is needed, like for example with the recent "Response Event" to raise funds when Teams with the international medical humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) are responding to the damage and devastating flooding caused when Cyclone Idai hit a number of countries in southern Africa—including Malawi, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe.

So look out for the next SOS event, meet new friends and have a good time while you help others.
